Privacy Policy — Palette Prism

Who we are. Palette Prism (“Palette Prism,” “we,” “us,” “our”) operates paletteprism.com and tools that help you generate, assess, and save color palettes (the “Services”).

1) Scope

This policy explains what we collect, how we use/share it, and your choices. If you do not agree, please don’t use the Services.

2) What we collect
​

Information you provide:

​

  • Account data (if you sign up): display name, email, password or SSO identifier.

  • Palette content: titles, colors, saved/exported tokens, visibility choices (public/private), likes.

  • Support: messages you send us, feedback.
     

Information collected automatically:

  • Usage & device: pages viewed, clicks, generator settings, language, browser/OS, screen capabilities (e.g., P3 support), IP-based general location, referrer, error logs.

  • Cookies/SDKs: essential cookies for login/security; preference cookies for UI/theme; optional analytics/advertising cookies if you consent. Details are managed via our cookie banner/consent tool.
     

Information from others

  • SSO provider (if used): basic profile/auth info per your provider settings.

  • Payment processor (if we sell paid features): transaction metadata (we do not store card numbers).

3) How we use information

  • Provide and improve the Services (palette creation/saving, accessibility checks, color-vision simulations, export tokens).

  • Personalize your experience (remember settings and preferences).

  • Security, anti-abuse, debugging, and analytics.

  • Communicate about service changes; marketing emails only if you opt in.

  • Payments/subscriptions (if enabled).

  • Legal compliance and enforcing our Terms.

Legal bases (EEA/UK): performance of a contract (account, saved palettes), legitimate interests (security, improvement, analytics), consent (non-essential cookies/marketing), and legal obligations.
 

4) When we share information

We don’t sell your personal information. We share:

  • Service providers/processors: hosting (Wix), analytics, email, error logging, payments, fraud prevention—bound to process only on our instructions under a DPA. Wix Support+1

  • Public content: palettes you mark public (title, colors, display name) may be visible to others.

  • Legal/safety: to comply with law or protect rights.

  • Business transfers: if we undergo a merger, acquisition, etc., with appropriate protections.
     

5) Cookies & consent

We use essential cookies (security, session), preferences (theme/UX), analytics, and—if enabled—advertising cookies. Our cookie banner/consent manager lets you grant, deny, or withdraw consent at any time, and it can provide a “Do Not Sell or Share” option if we enable advertising cookies for US residents. 6) Retention
​

  • Account & palette data: kept while your account is active; deleted or de-identified on account deletion, subject to legal holds.

  • Logs/analytics: typically 12–18 months in aggregate or de-identified form.

  • Backups: persist for a limited period before being overwritten.
     

7) Security
​

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures (encryption in transit, least-privilege access). No online service is 100% secure.

8) Your choices
​

  • Access, edit, delete your palettes and profile.

  • Opt out of marketing emails.

  • Manage cookie settings via our banner/controls.

  • Toggle compliance targets and color-vision simulations—these affect display only and are not health data.
     

9) Your rights
​

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, object/restrict processing, or withdraw consent. US state residents may have additional rights (know, correct, delete, opt-out of “sale/share”). Contact privacy@paletteprism.com to exercise rights; we’ll verify your request as required by law.

10) International transfers
​

Data may be processed in countries outside your own. We use appropriate safeguards (e.g., DPAs/Standard Contractual Clauses) with our processors and sub-processors. Wix Support

11) Children
​

Our Services aren’t for children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK). If a child provided data, contact us to delete it.

12) Accessibility & compliance tools (important)
​

Our WCAG/APCA contrast and simulation features are advisory tools. Results depend on variables we can’t control (device gamut, OS/browser rendering, fonts, sizes, user settings, ambient light, print processes). 13) Changes
​

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date and, if changes are material, provide additional notice.
